Build & Modernize

MVP Development

You have a product real customers can use, at a price agreed before we start.

Typical engagement4–8 weeks

What this engagement is

The point of an MVP is to learn something from real users, which means it has to survive contact with them. A demo that falls over the first time five people use it at once teaches you nothing except that demos are fragile. We scope tightly to a single core workflow done properly — the one thing the product must do well enough that someone would pay for it.

The build includes the parts prototypes skip: authentication and roles, data persistence with real migrations, error handling, automated tests on the core workflow, and a CI/CD pipeline deploying to infrastructure you own. If the product works, nothing needs to be thrown away and rebuilt — the foundation is the production foundation.

Scope is locked in a written document before the build starts. Every Friday you see working software, and that meeting is where trades happen: if something new has become important, we agree what comes out to make room. The price never moves; the contents of the scope can, but only by exchange.

Who this is for

  • Companies launching a new product line or digital service
  • Teams with board approval and a date they've already committed to
  • Businesses validating a productized version of an internal capability

What you get

  • Deployed, production-ready application
  • Authentication, roles, and data persistence
  • Automated test coverage on core workflows
  • CI/CD pipeline and environment configuration
  • Source code, documentation, and a technical handover session

Scope

Exactly what the quoted price covers

The scope document for this engagement lists both columns below in writing. Nothing moves between them without a conversation.

Included in the engagement

  • One week of scoping: core workflow, data model, and an explicit out-of-scope list
  • Full build of the locked scope: interface, API, database, auth
  • Automated tests on the core workflow and CI/CD to your cloud account
  • Hardening phase: load testing, monitoring, and a security review
  • Handover: repository, documentation, and a walkthrough with your team

Not included

  • Anything on the out-of-scope list — additions happen by trading, not appending
  • Ongoing feature development after launch (quoted as follow-on phases)
  • Marketing site, app store presence, or payment processing setup

Working together

What we need from you

Fixed dates only hold when both sides show up. These are the commitments we ask for in exchange for ours.

  • 01

A decision-maker in the Friday demo who can approve trades on the spot

  • 02

Brand assets and any existing design language by the end of week one

  • 03

Prompt answers during scoping — that week sets the calendar for everything after

Process

How it runs

  1. 01

    Scope lock

One week defining the core workflow, the data model, and what is explicitly out. The scope document is the contract.

  2. 02

    Build sprints

Weekly increments with a working demo every Friday. Trades against locked scope are decided in that meeting.

  3. 03

    Hardening

Load testing, error handling, monitoring, and a security review before anything goes in front of a customer.

  4. 04

    Launch and handover

Deployed to your infrastructure with documentation, tests, and pipeline in your repository.
